A key objective for AULP is to help our members develop their knowledge and skills to excel in their roles and to take the next steps in their careers. AULP believes that learning and development should be at the heart of a high-performing legal services team.
If you’re interested in joining our mentoring scheme, please visit the Professional Development page.
During the year we facilitate a number of regionally focused sessions for our members, in partnership with legal service providers from the private sector. These sessions seek to tackle a small number of tricky issues colleagues are tackling.
Members from any region are welcome at these sessions.
We regularly host virtual coffee events, to give our members the opportunity to network and share issues with peers for discussion. These are informal opportunities to chat with other AULP members and hear some of the latest news from the sector.
Demystifying Finance and Budgeting in the HE sector (for Non-Accountants)
Join us at the University of St Andrews from 17–19 June for our Annual Conference 2026. Our flagship event, the conference offers rich CPD, networking and wellbeing opportunities for delegates, alongside sessions exploring emerging trends and the most pressing challenges within the higher education legal sector. This year’s theme, “Beyond Borders,” invites us to look past geographical and organisational boundaries to share ideas, strengthen collaboration and inspire fresh thinking across the sector.
